The expansion of Maney Hill Primary School began over three years ago and the school roll, currently at 330 pupils, will expand from 210 pupils to 420 pupils. The school also have ambitious plans to support the school community further and have introduced an 80 place school led Before and After School Club. In September, the school will introduce a 26 place school led Nursery class.

The building work has been ongoing for well over a year but now the building work is completed, the school are delighted with the extra facilities.

Mrs Whitehead said ‘The building work has been a huge upheaval. Governors and school staff have worked tremendously hard throughout the building work. We maintained our focus on ensuring outstanding teaching and learning for the children and we are delighted last year we achieved our best results on record for Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. A big thank you to Andrew Mitchell MP for formally opening our new building and a thank you also to the many parents, grandparents, governors and local residents who came along.’
